This is a handout from a repertoire clinic I gave at the Texas Music Educators Association Conference in 2000. It contains detailed analyses of the 28 new Grade 1 additions to the (then) new state music list. Also included is a blank analysis form for your personal/band library use.

A website about music for the young band.

This site is work accomplished while I was teaching Music Education at The University of Texas-San Antonio. It originally was hosted at UTSA, but a few years ago they took it down. I now host the entire site on my server for your convenience and perusal.

Since this type of research is no longer my area of specialization, it is "frozen" in time and has not been updated since 2000. However, it still has some very useful information and has been cited by numerous authorities for its value as a resource.
