  • Timpani part requires an alert player (pitch changes measures 22 and 35)
  • Be careful not to overdramatize heavy accented notes
  • 1st solo cornet and 1st trumpet hit g1 nine and seven times respctively in the piece (fatigue could be a factor)
  • Soli in cornets and trumpets in measure 58 and again in measure 94
  • Cornets and Trumpets use straight mutes in measure 58
  • Flute part is 8va from measure 7 - 13
  • First 'chorale' section has numerous accidentals
  • Percussion acts in strict 'batterie' fashion (percussion is active but mundane)
  • Four different French Horn parts
  • Musical tempi include: Moderato, Bravura, and Allegro Moderato
