Comments:
  • Two pitch changes for the timpani
  • Horn parts are not always stepwise, some lines may be difficult for young players
  • Some slurs in the tuba may be difficult for young players
  • 1st and 2nd clarinets cross the break, 3rd clarinet does not
  • Eb clarinet, Eb alto clarinet and Piccolo parts
  • Texas PML requires performance of all three movements to be considered as a grade 2
  • Some flute ranges are extreme for young players, intonation could be a problem
  • Notes on the composers lives on the back of the condensed score
  • Good piece for teaching 'classical' style to students (light articulation styles)
  • Good piece for teaching characteristics of classical forms (Arioso, Minuetto, Scherzando)
