Literature Analyses
In Spring 1999, a new course was offered (and subsequently required of all Instrumental Music Education majors) at UTSA entitled: WInd Literature for the Young Band. As part of the assignments for the course, students created webpage analyses of Grade 1 and 2 works. Each analysis includes comments regarding part ranges, rhythm concerns, solos, instrumentation concerns, etc.

PLE ASE NOTE: Many of these analyses have online links that do not work now that UTSA has removed the YBRP website from their server. Sorry!  Also, you may wish to open and print (or leave open in a second browser window) these pages (Notation System & Rhythm System) for ease of reference while using these analyses.
